Ema newly releases RB series guided radar (TDR technology)

      EMA newly releases the RB series guided radarwhich adopts TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) technology. It can measure the level of liquids continuously by sending out high frequency signals towards to surface of the liquid to measure its position. Our RB series is suitable for detecting any liquids, such as oil,water or any mixed fluids. Many non-contact level sensors,such as ultrasonic or radar sensors,can not accurately measure close to the top and bottom of the tank,but that is not a problem for EMA RB series since it has very small non-measurement zones which make it very suitable for usage in small tanks. It has almost no installation restrictions,especially when it comes to mounting position,tall and narrow nozzles and difficult tank shapes. It is superior to other methods of level measurement, because it combines highly reliable and precise continuous level measurement with point level detection in one device; offering substantial savings in device and installation cost to the customer.

 

     The application area for EMA RB series has been widened and the mounting process has been simplifiedFirst, the sensor is easily installed from the top of the tanks and can be positioned freely in the tank. No mechanical adjustment of the probe is necessary since all parameters can be adjusted by software; the customer never has to drill another hole in tank to change the switching position of his level sensor. Second, this series almost has no installation restriction; it can be mounted in small tankor tall and narrow nozzles,bypass pipes,difficult tank geometries, close to interfering structures. Third, the probe lengths can be easily customized; single rod probes go up to 3000mm, coaxial probes up to 6000mm. Different lengths are available on request.

   

Thanks to its robust 4-wire design, it offers superior application performance and features powerful disturbance signal suppression functions. Its electronics is completely galvanically insulated from the inputs and outputs. The TDR level sensor can be linked with personal computers through HART protocal. The unit emits a standard 4-20mA analog output signal,as well as a freely positionable DC PNP switching output signal. Its protection classification reaches IP67. Process temperatures are between -40°C and +150°C, pressure is possible between -1...40bar and measurement accuracy is ±3mm.

 

   The newly released RB series greatly enriches ema's product portfolio for level measurement with the latest level measurement technology. This product offers the customer a very precise,multi-purpose,highly reliable and cost effective solution to any of his level measurement applications. Typical applications are found in water/waste water,oil and gas,chemicals, storage tanks,power generation,food and beverage.
